Whoo hoo!! It's Friday again!!
"It's Friday and I'm in love" - Robert Smith from The Cure.
Well, not really. I'm in love with spring and unlike most people here at work, I love the rain. I love days like this, cool, listening to the rain fall on the windows, having that slight cool breeze flow in through the open windows bringing in the scent and newness of things to come. I am actually looking forward to leaving work (as are most people) but my reason is to go walking outside. 1 hour left to go...
I haven't written in here in so long it's hard to know where to start. A few weeks ago I took an amazing course entitled "The Inner Journey". For those who are interested, here is the link to the website and I will also post this on my fav. links as well. www.innerjourneycanada.ca/ It was an incredible experience where no amount of psychotherapy or cheap pharmaceuticals could have opened me up or brought me the peace that I was searching for like that weekend. As a result, I have a whole community of people who are now like my extended family. How could I be so lucky and fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to be talked into taking this course? I am now honoured to know so many enlightened people and to be able to call them my sisters, brothers and friends.
Another result of this is that I am finally taking charge of my life and going after everything with 2 hands and then some. I am finally looking after myself and my health first for once. I'm seeing Dr. Barbara Rodwin at "Back to Health Wellness Centre". If you are in the Ottawa area and are in need of a chiropractor, ART or massage therapy - this is the place to go. They are all so friendly and knowledgable I feel fortunate to be able to get help for my estranged spinal column, hip and unrelenting birth defect in one vertebrae. After 2 treatments, my hip and back feel better - for a while, until the swelling from my past injury comes back to haunt me. One day I will be completely pain free and I look forward to it!
I have also registered for a writing workshop through Rick Taylor at the "Collected Works Bookstore, Holland at Wellington". I've just sent off my application and hopefully he will "approve" of my witty, sardonic, sarcastic blurbs enough to allow me into the course. I absolutely LOVE the name of the workshop. I laughed for 10 mins and I'm still giggling over "Scars Are Tattoos With Better Stories" workshop.
Well, that's all for now. I am fortunate enough to have friends who love me and whom I can love in return. What would life be without those who we're close to. Amazing souls to have in our lives when life throws us sour grapes - they turn it around and help us make wine by stomping the shit out of them all!! ;0)
